LASER GENESIS

Laser Genesis is very similar to IPL, and in fact can even be combined with IPL therapy during the same treatment session. It is also a non-invasive procedure that uses a laser to gently heat the skin, resulting in the production of new skin cells and collagen. Although not as strong as IPL therapy, it can help smooth the skin and reduce the look of fine lines, dark spots, and wrinkles. Typically, its primary use is to fade scarring, redness, and broken blood vessels, and improve the look of rosacea. Treatment session plans are similar in time, length, procedure, recovery, and pricing to IPL.

What Are

the Benefits of Skin Resurfacing?

If aging, acne, or too much fun in the sun has left your face with spots, scars, wrinkles, or lines, laser skin resurfacing may help your skin look younger and healthier. Skin resurfacing devices work in a variety of ways, but they often remove damaged skin areas and then target new regrowth of your skin at the cellular level. As new skin cells form during healing, or tired skin gets a boost with activation of collagen or elastin production, your skin begins to appear clearer, younger, and more consistent on the surface.

Our specialized medical experts will guide you through the most appropriate treatment modality for your specific needs, and we are here to help you make an informed decision about what procedure you select based on your desired outcomes.

What Can Skin Resurfacing Procedures Treat?

  • Age spots
  • Scars
  • Acne scars
  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Crow’s feet
  • Sagging skin
  • Uneven skin tone or pigmentation
  • Pore size

What’s the MOXI Procedure Like?

The laser device delivers fractionated energy to create micro-zones in the dermis, pulling out pigmented areas in the process. After the pigment is targeted, the skin naturally repairs itself, replacing damaged cells with healthy new ones. The procedure is quick, and sometimes can take as little as 15 minutes.

Does MOXI Hurt or Require Downtime?

The procedure usually causes no discomfort for patients. There may be mild stinging during and immediately following the short procedure—some have compared it to a small rubbed band being snapped against your skin—but ice packs should sooth this as it slowly fades away. There is no downtime, and Moxi can be done regularly throughout the year to maintain clear, even, and vibrant skin.

What Does Moxi Cost?

The cost of Moxi varies with each patient as it depends on the extent of the area to be treated, the number of treatments needed, and whether it is combined with other treatments.

On average, Moxi costs $800/session for full face, with discounts available on packages.

Microneedling

WITH PLATELET-RICH PLASMA THERAPY

Combining PRP therapy with microneedling is a game-changer at restoring and revitalizing skin. By using the patient’s own blood, we extract platelet-rich plasma which is then concentrated and re-injected into the face or other skin area during the micro-needling process. It’s a two-for-one approach where the microneedling device creates small incisions in the skin that activate natural healing processes, while the re-injected plasma works overtime to deliver an even greater level of healing. The result is a major boost in the level of collagen production and other important proteins that support the skin, resulting in a healthier, firmer, and more vibrant tone.

The addition of laser genesis after Microneedling with PRP helps activate the PRP for an improved Stem Cell reaction which leads to faster healing, better results, and reduces the chances of skin break outs by killing bacteria in the area treated.

How Long Does It Take?

The process takes about 30 minutes, can be repeated every four weeks if needed, and aside from bruising, has little to no negative side effects.

How Much Does PRP Cost?

Like with other skin resurfacing procedures offered at Panacea Aesthetics, PRP pricing will vary depending on the amount of injections desired and the area of micro-needling covered. Adding injections to microneedling procedures starts at just $200, while standalone injection treatments start at $600. These prices will change depending on your specific needs, so please contact us to determine what’s available for you.

MOXI

This procedure comfortably delivers non-ablative, fractionated laser energy to the skin to promote new cell growth and reduce unwanted pigmentation. It is often used to correct uneven pigmentation and skin damage by improving skin tone and texture without the recovery or downtime associated with more aggressive laser procedures.

What Does MOXI Treat?

Moxi is a light laser used to treat sunspots, damage, and other pigmentation on the face. Due to the minimal downtime needed and the gentleness of the technology, it’s an ideal treatment for regular skin maintenance to keep your skin looking flawless for years.

What Does a Peel Do?

The ZO peel works in 3 steps. First the solution is applied. Its careful formula minimizes inflammation and hydrates the skin. Second, a stimulating retinol cream is applied, working to activate collagen enhancement at the skin’s deeper levels, firming the cells and reducing wrinkles. Last, a calming cream is applied post-procedure to soothe, calm, and restore moisture after the first two steps.

What Results Can I Expect from the ZO 3-Step Peel?

After the peel, your skin may have a yellow tone but this is completely normal and when you wash your face the next day, this will have disappeared. You may also notice your skin begin to lightly peel the next day, but this will only last for a couple of days. As the last bits of the old layer of skin exfoliate, the newly exposed and activated layer will come through stronger, healthier, and vibrantly restored. Fine lines, wrinkles, spots, and damage should be greatly lessened, and a healthy, even, glowing complexion will rise.

ZO Stimulator

AND 3-STEP PEELS

Panacea is proud to offer the ZO Stimulator and 3-Step Peel. Three decades ago, Dr. Zein Obagi redefined skincare, expanding the medical focus beyond just skin disease treatment to also include creation and maintenance of healthy skin for all people. His revolutionary philosophy led to the development of many widely recognized skincare products and formulas, today used by physicians and aestheticians globally.

The ZO stimulator and 3-step peel is a quick procedure that takes about a week of recovery time as your skin heals and restores itself. During your recovery, you can go about most of your usual activities, just make sure to minimize time in the sun. Your skin may be red and sensitive, but after naturally healing, it will come back restored and more vibrant.

This peel uses lactic, citric, and salicylic acid, plus potent concentrations of other active ingredients, to exfoliate the skin, while stimulating the growth of collagen and elastin. A highly effective treatment for the many signs of skin aging, this peel is ideal for treating melasma, sun damage, fine lines, uneven texture, large pores, dull skin, and even acne. It is suitable for any skin type or color.

How Do I Prepare for a Peel?

Before your appointment, make sure to check in with our team about appropriate precautions given your particular skincare regimen. Most patients will be fine, but those already using medical-grade skin products and supplements may need to make minor adjustments to their routines leading up to the peel. Men may also be required to shave beforehand for best results.

IPL is similar to a traditional laser treatment, but instead of focusing just one wavelength of light at your skin, IPL releases light across many different spectrums, similar to a photo flash. This scattering and less focused amount of attention penetrates deep into the lower layers of your skin without harming the top layer. This allows the laser to destroy unwanted pigmentation, clearing up freckles and other spots, and stimulating revitalization, all without damaging the top, visible layer.

This is up to you and our experts, who will provide individualized advice based on your desired outcomes and needs. Some patients only require a few treatments, while others opt for six or more over a long period of time. Sessions should be spaced about one month apart to let your skin heal.

One of the best parts of IPL treatments is the non-invasive procedure and limited downtime. The skin may be red and sensitive for a few hours, as if you are slightly sunburned, but it will heal within a few days. Although some patients experience mild discomfort, this should not affect your ability to continue about with daily activities. To minimize discomfort and maximize healing for best results, regularly cleanse and moisturize skin, avoid hot water, wear sunscreen, and avoid being outside for extended periods.

After a few days of healing, results should start to appear in a week and then continue to increase as your skin heals and comes back healthier, smoother, and more refreshed.

Pricing for intense-pulsed light therapy often comes in packages, and our patients should expect prices to be around $200 per session when purchasing a package. Call 949-945-0906 or email info@panaceaaesthetics.com to schedule a consultation, discuss cost and treatment options.
